Effective August 1995, Oncogene Science divested its Research Products Business formerly known as Oncogene Research Products™ and sold its assets to Calbiochem-Novabiochem International, Inc (today known as Calbiochem® Immunochemicals, a part of EMD Biosciences / Merck Biosciences) of San Diego, California. Products acquired by the Calbiochem® brand include antibodies, biochemical and biological reagents, and assay kits in the areas of apoptosis, cancer, cell cycle and proliferation. According to the Merck Biosciences website: “In January 2004, the immunochemical product lines of Calbiochem® and Oncogene Research Products™ were consolidated to form a broader immunochemical product line under the Calbiochem® Immunochemicals brand.”
